Hi, I'm Shylie!

Shylie Miller is a Dallas native 500-hour registered yoga teacher, Bhakta, Sound Healer, Reiki Master, Animal Reiki Master, Breathwork Facilitator, Board-Certified Music Therapist, and private music lessons instructor. From a young age, she was exposed to voice and a variety of instruments through band, choir, and private lessons. Shylie's combined passions for music and helping people are what drew her to a career in music therapy. She attended Drury University in Springfield, Missouri, where she graduated summa cum laude in December 2019 with a Bachelor's in Music Therapy.

Shylie began her career in music therapy in January of 2020. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and extreme compassion fatigue, she determined that a full-time music therapy practice did not align with her long-term goals. During this time, she began to practice yoga regularly and fell in love with the practice. Upon consistent encouragement from the studio's staff, Shylie enrolled in yoga teacher training.

Following completion of a 200-hour teacher training program, Shylie began teaching weekly power yoga classes. Through exploring different yoga studios in the area, she learned about sound healing and determined that this practice was a perfect combination of her clinical experience as a music therapist and her passion for teaching yoga. As she continued to connect with the booming yoga community in North Dallas, Shylie completed two trainings to become a certified sound healer, three gong playing trainings, and became certified as a Master of Usui Holy Fire Reiki, Animal Reiki Master, and breathwork guide. Shylie most recently completed her 300-hour teacher training in Bhakti Yoga and Kirtan, and she loves to weave spiritual themes and Bhakti philosophy into her classes and workshops.

Currently, Shylie teaches yoga classes in a variety of styles, including vinyasa, yin, and restorative. She regularly integrates sound healing, reiki and breathwork into her group classes and also offers these services privately in 1:1 sessions. She is also available to lead Kirtan circles and facilitate Bhakti Flow classes upon request.
While Shylie’s biggest passion is holistic healing, she also enjoys performing, particularly classical voice. Shylie performed regularly throughout college, often as the featured soprano soloist in Drury choral concerts. She also had the opportunity to perform with the Springfield Regional Opera and the Springfield Symphony several times throughout her college career. Shylie hopes to continue her vocal journey through continued voice lessons and local ensembles/solo gigs. In addition, she is available for private music lessons in voice, piano, guitar, and ukulele. She looks forward to working with you!
